Golf Tournament, Cookout Upcoming

The annual Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association golf tournament organized by Dan Mangum is planned for Monday, Sept. 23, while the annual community cookout under the apron tent at Laurel Park will be held Monday, Sept. 30, from 1-4 p.m.

The 18-hole tournament will be held at Walden Country Club, located at 1500 Reidel Road in Crofton. Check-in begins at 11 a.m., and the scramble starts at noon. The entry fee is $65, and there will be awards, prizes and a dinner after the tournament.
