Backstretch Mailboxes
Secure Mailboxes Now Available for Maryland Horsemen
In an effort to improve access to mail and package delivery for Maryland horsemen and backstretch workers, the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (MTHA) has installed 200 secure mailboxes in the newly renovated Laurel Park Recreation Room.
One mailbox key will be provided free of charge to each occupied dorm room at Laurel Park, Pimlico, and Laurel Commons. Mail will be delivered daily to these secure mailboxes, which can only be accessed by authorized key holders.
Prior to this improvement, resident mail was collected and distributed through a shared box located at the Stable Gate. The new mailbox system provides greater security, privacy, and convenience for horsemen and backstretch workers.
Additional mailboxes will be made available to non-resident horsemen on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
Each mailbox holder will be assigned a unique mailbox number and may use the following mailing address:
3600 Laurel Fort Meade Road; Box #_____; Laurel, MD 20724
