Backstretch Mailboxes
Secure, Reliable Mail Service for Backstretch Workers
To improve access to personal mail and provide greater security for backstretch workers, the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association maintains more than 200 secure mailboxes in the Laurel Park Recreation Room.
One mailbox key is provided at no cost to currently employed residents living in Laurel Park dormitories and Laurel Commons. Mail is delivered daily and stored in locked mailboxes that can only be accessed by authorized key holders, providing a safe and dependable alternative to traditional mail distribution methods.
Additional mailboxes are available on a first-come, first-served basis for non-resident horsemen when space permits.
Each mailbox holder is assigned a unique mailbox number and may use the following mailing address:
3600 Laurel Fort Meade Road
Mailbox #_____
Laurel, MD 20724
The mailbox number must be included as part of the mailing address to ensure proper delivery.
