UNDERSTANDING YOUR ELECTION
Members elect a 15-member Board of Directors: seven owners, seven trainers, and one at-large director.
The seven owner candidates receiving the most votes are elected in the owner classification.
The seven trainer candidates receiving the most votes are elected in the trainer classification.
After those 14 seats are filled, the remaining candidate with the most votes across both categories is elected at large.
Directors are elected for three years and remain in office until their successors are elected and qualified. Directors serve in the classification in which they run.
Winners are determined by the largest plurality of votes; a majority of all votes cast is not required. All ties are resolved by drawing lots.
Do not sign the ballot itself. Place it in the secrecy envelope, then place that envelope in the return envelope. Sign the return envelope. Select exactly seven candidates in each category and allow enough mailing time for receipt by December 31, 2026.
