Update on food service for backstretch workers at Pimlico

Per the Maryland Jockey Club, Miguel Paz will begin serving food at 5 a.m. in the jockeys’ room at Pimlico Race Course every day beginning Monday, May 24. Closing hours will depend upon demand.
Backstretch workers should note that on live racing days at Pimlico, they should ensure that they get to the jockeys’ room by 11 a.m., because the room will need to be cleared as the jockeys arrive for racing. On live racing days, Paz will continue to serve food for jockeys and valets based on demand.
For backstretch workers who are relocating to the Maryland State Fair at Timonium, the track kitchen will open Monday, May 24, for lunch. Every day thereafter, it will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with takeout dinners available.
