Due to expected heavy rain late in the afternoon and evening of Sunday, Dec. 17, training has been canceled for Monday, Dec. 18, at Laurel Park.

Maryland Jockey Club Track Superintendent Ken Brown said the suspension of training would give the track maintenance crew more time to work on the surface. The local weather forecast is calling for the heavy rain to continue into the early hours of Monday morning.
