Tickets for the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association Christmas Party, which will return to the calendar after an absence of several years, are now available.

The event will be held from 6-10 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at The Corner Stable restaurant located in Kings Contrivance Village Center in Columbia, Md. The cost of $20 per ticket includes two free drink tickets. A cash bar will available.

Tickets are available online through the MTHA Store, which can be accessed through the Store link at the top of the mdhorsemen.com home page. Tickets can also be purchased (cash only) from members of the MTHA staff at Laurel Park and Pimlico Race Course.

Please note that a limited number of tickets will be sold. In addition, it is requested that all attendees bring a new, unwrapped toy that can be given out during the annual MTHA Toy Drive later in December. There will be collection boxes at The Corner Stable.

The Corner Stable owner Chip Reed, a member of the MTHA Board of Directors, has arranged for a shuttle bus to take backstretch employees at Laurel Park to the party and back, with the first trip scheduled to leave at about 5:30 p.m. Arrangements have been made for a separate shuttle bus from Pimlico that will also leave the backstretch at about 5:30 p.m.

Reed said the event will feature a gourmet buffet and a DJ.
