MTHA ADDS JUNE MOBILE DENTIST DATES

Following an overwhelmingly successful return to Laurel Park this month, the Mobile Dentist program has officially added several new June dates to continue providing much-needed dental care services to Maryland’s backstretch community.

The program, which recently returned for the first time in nearly two years, was met with tremendous demand from horsemen and backside workers. The first two days were fully booked and generated an extremely positive response from participants, many of whom received cleanings, extractions, evaluations, and follow-up treatment planning.

Thanks to funding support from the Laurel Multi Services Center, the Mobile Dentist operates directly on the Laurel Park backstretch, making dental care far more accessible for horsemen.

The newly added June dates are as follows:
Monday, June 1
Monday, June 8
Tuesday, June 9
Monday, June 15
All visits are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

One of the major improvements to the program has been the implementation of a streamlined online registration and scheduling system developed specifically for the initiative. Patients complete their medical and dental history online in advance and upload their MRC badges before arriving, allowing the check-in process to move quickly and efficiently.

The system also automatically sends appointment reminder text messages to participants ahead of their scheduled visits.

Horsemen who previously registered for May appointment dates but were unable to secure a spot are encouraged to register again for the newly added June dates.
