Monday, January 15, 2024

Please note that all owners, trainers, assistant trainers, jockeys and jockey agents must renew their Maryland Racing Commission licenses by Jan. 1, 2024.

The licensing office at Laurel Park is open on live race days, which for the remainder of 2023 are Dec. 22-23 (Friday and Saturday) and Dec. 29-31 (Friday through Sunday). The office also is open Thursday, Dec. 21, and Thursday, Dec. 28, from 9 a.m. to noon.

As usual, owners and trainers must pay $100, which goes toward the workers' compensation program for jockeys.
