CHECK CASHING ADVISORY - Black Eyed Susan and Preakness Days

Wednesday, May 13, 2026

The Maryland Jockey Club would like to advise all horsemen who regularly cash paychecks at Laurel Park that access to the Grandstand area during Black Eyed Susan Day and Preakness Day will be significantly restricted due to crowd control and security measures.

As a result, check cashing services available to horsemen during those two days will not be available.

Horsemen are strongly encouraged to plan accordingly and make any necessary banking or check cashing arrangements in advance of Black Eyed Susan Day and Preakness Day to avoid inconvenience.

Normal access to the Grandstand and regular check cashing operations are expected to resume on Sunday following Preakness.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding during Preakness weekend operations.
